About Us

From early childhood I knew that I was gifted with numbers and secondly, with a gift of helps.

My gift for numbers manifested itself in both memorization and application of financial data to help others reach their budgetary goals. After school in high school as well as long college breaks, I worked as an admissions clerk as well as an accounts payable/receivable clerk. In this position, I submitted financial data to the CPA for the quarterly and annual tax returns for the hospital. I credit this experience at the hospital to be where I learned the importance of good customer service and the value of financial data for organizations and clients.

I understand the value of hard work; I have worked as a cashier, salesperson, and customer service representative. After a very difficult pregnancy and premature delivery, the idea for an accounting and administrative service home business was born. My first client was an attorney in Anchorage, Alaska. After three years of working from home, I decided to re-enter the workforce full time; I served as the accountant for MWR (morale, welfare and recreation) activities at Ft. Richardson, Ft. Wainwright and Ft. Greely, all located in Alaska.

Years later, our family relocated to Georgia after my late husband took an early medical retirement from the military. A long time dream of having a business of my own became a reality. Lighthouse Financial Services was born.

The helps gift is as important to me now as it was from the very beginning. For over 30 years, I've seen clients become involved, empowered and engaged in their financial future. I look forward to joining you on your journey to financial freedom.

With joy and purpose,

Dorothy

Having a heart to help others is apparently a family trait, ha! As a second generation member of the family business, I am proud and honored to continue the legacy of providing financial services to individuals and small businesses in the Central Georgia community.

My work with Lighthouse Financial Services began in middle school when I would serve as the afternoon receptionist and administrative assistant. I took my job seriously then, just as I do now. My background in accounting, payroll, human resources and tax preparation has prepared me for this next phase of our family business.

I am a lifelong learner who continually seeks ways to grow and develop new understandings. I look forward to serving the community with integrity, honesty and diligence and I’m so excited for what’s on the horizon in the near future!

Thank you for this opportunity to help you secure the financial future of your dreams,

Bohdana
